The Role: As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of multiple client payrolls across a range of sectors and complexities.
Key Responsibilities:- Process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a diverse client portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and RTI submissions.
- Administer auto-enrolment and pension contributions.
- Manage starters, leavers, and adjustments including SSP, SMP, and other statutory payments.
- Liaise with clients to resolve payroll-related queries promptly and professionally.
- Prepare payroll reports and maintain accurate payroll records.
Person Specification:- Proven experience in a payroll role within an accountancy practice or bureau environment.
- Strong knowledge of current payroll legislation and best practice.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficient in payroll software (e.g. BrightPay, Sage Payroll, or similar).
- Confident communicator with a client-focused approach.
