Job Description

“Control your own destiny or someone else will.”  Jack Welch.

Sheridan Maine is proud to be partnering with a valued client to present an exciting opportunity for an immediately available Regional Financial Controller.

This initial 3-month fixed term contract offers highly flexible working from home options, alongside frequent travel to a specialist region. If you're a commercially focused finance leader ready to make an impact quickly, we want to hear from you.

Your responsibilities as the Regional Financial Controller will include:
  • Lead the financial management and reporting process across all business units, ensuring accurate accounts, effective cash flow management, and strong internal controls.
  • Oversee key operational finance activities, including cost control, KPI monitoring, and working capital optimisation to support overall business performance.
  • Prepare and present accurate budget, cashflow and capital expenditure plans.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key regional stakeholders and ownership groups.
  • Lead and develop a regional finance team by providing strategic guidance, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and modelling strong, effective leadership.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to address stakeholder queries and drive continuous relationship improvement.
  • Ensure all local authority tax and compliance requirements and deadlines are adhered to.
  • Represent the organisation in regular meetings with external partners.
  • Support the implementation of group-wide finance policies, systems, and internal control improvements.
  • Contribute to business projects and operational initiatives as directed by senior leadership.

To be considered for the role of Regional Financial Controller, you will:
  • Need to be immediately available and ready to hit the ground running.
  • Be fully qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Good interpersonal skills and demonstrable initiative.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to the designated region.

If you're looking for your next interim challenge and have the experience to drive financial performance while influencing decision-making at a senior level, apply now to join a business where your impact will be felt immediately.

You are required to be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.

Due to the high volume of applications, it is not always possible to respond to unsuccessful applicants. Therefore, if we have not responded to your application within five days, please assume that on this occasion your application has not been successful.
