Project Accountant to join their finance team on a
12-month interim basis, playing a vital role in supporting key business projects and financial planning.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident finance professional with strong project accounting experience to make a significant impact within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Partner with budget holders to provide financial guidance and support informed decision-making.
- Manage and control project accounting processes, ensuring the integrity of financial data and performance targets.
- Provide financial insight during bid phases, including rate/profit application, cash flow forecasting, and financing costs.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of orders, revenue, and trading performance.
- Maintain project and contract data, and manage contract-related invoicing.
- Apply appropriate revenue recognition methods in line with long-term contract requirements.
- Prepare monthly journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and cost accruals.
- Deliver high-quality periodic reporting to support the Senior Leadership Team in understanding financial and operational performance.
What We’re Looking For:- Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA or CIMA).
- Proven project accounting experience in a complex business setting.
- Strong commercial acumen with the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence outcomes.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels.
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively to improve processes and project visibility.
- A flexible mindset and strong prioritisation skills in a deadline-driven environment.
Additional Requirements:- You must be eligible to obtain full SC (Security Clearance) and hold a valid British Passport.
