We are currently partnering with a well-established and successful practice based in Finchley, who are seeking an experienced
Senior Bookkeeper to join their team.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Bookkeeper:- Manage a client portfolio, handling bookkeeping and VAT returns for both sole traders and incorporated entities across a range of industries.
- Bookkeeping on various software programs, with a primary focus on Xero.
- Preparation of VAT returns for clients.
- Review the work of junior staff and outsourcing teams to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Respond to client queries promptly and professionally, providing exceptional service.
- Ensure trial balances are completed and ready for handover to the accounts department.
- Handle VAT registration and de-registration for clients.
Key Requirements for Senior Bookkeeper:- At least 8 years of work experience in practice.
- Strong proficiency in Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.
- Extensive experience with VAT, including dealing with HMRC, knowledge of VAT schemes, and some involvement in VAT planning.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients.
- Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach.
Salary: Around
£40k (depending on experience).
