Financial Accountant

A large plc based with offices across the UK is recruiting a Financial Accountant to support a key accounting area focusing on best practice, process improvement and financial controls. The company offers very flexible, mainly remote working with just 1 or 2 days a month in an office. 
 
The main responsibilities of the Financial Accountant include:
 

• Providing technical advice and support to the business.
• Working with the business both in the UK and abroad ensuring compliance with statutory, company and audit requirements.
• Aiding in the development of accounting policies and controls.
• Identifying areas for process improvement and making recommendations.
• Collaborating across finance and the business on best practice initiatives.

 
The ideal candidate for this Financial Accountant role is likely to:
 

• Be a late stage studier or a newly / recently qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
• Possess good financial / statutory accounting knowledge.
• Be an excellent communicator who enjoys working collaboratively.
