Group Management Accountant

Sheridan Maine is delighted to be recruiting a skilled and motivated Management Accountant on behalf of our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking organization based in Poole. As Management Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the business achieves its financial goals by collaborating across departments and delivering high-quality financial reports and analysis.
 
Key Responsibilities
 

• Monthly Management Accounts: Prepare accurate and timely management accounts and financial reports.
• Intercompany Reconciliation: Ensure all intercompany balances and recharges are reconciled accurately.
• Transactional Support: Work closely with the transactional processing team to ensure seamless operations.
• Audit Assistance: Support year-end audit queries and provide necessary documentation.
• Performance Analysis: Review and analyse data, providing insightful commentary to drive financial performance.
• Budget Monitoring: Track performance against budgets and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Build strong relationships across departments to align on financial objectives and strategies.

 
What We’re Looking For

• Accounting Experience: Previous experience in management accounting, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
• Qualifications: Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
• Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Team Player: A flexible and collaborative attitude, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Excel Proficiency: Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
