Management Accountant

Sheridan Maine are currently managing the recruitment of a Management Accountant for a well-established business based in West Dorset. This exciting role is within a division of a larger group, offering the opportunity to become a trusted business partner and team leader, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

As a Senior Management Accountant, you will lead, manage, and motivate a small team, with your primary responsibilities including:

• Overseeing and producing monthly management accounts
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Assisting with cash-flow preparation and analysis 
• Monitoring and reporting on the performance of your division 
• Reconciling divisional costs to provide accurate cash-flow forecasts 
• Supporting the development of financial reporting
• Reviewing project appraisals and analysing financial performance for commercial and development activities
• Ensuring financial records are accurately reflected in the accounting systems

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with the following skills and experience:

• Expertise in statutory and management accounting, with the ability to analyse, interpret, and present financial information clearly
• Management accounting and budgeting experience, including the provision of reporting and analysis for senior stakeholders
• A highly motivated and dedicated attitude, with the ability to provide excellent business partnering
• Knowledge of VAT taxation
• Strong team leadership and communication skills

This position is based in Dorset, offering a very flexible hybrid working pattern and excellent benefits.

A full driver’s license and access to a car are essential for this role and candidates must be eligible to work in the UK full-time without restrictions.
