Sheridan Maine is excited to partner with a large, well-established business to recruit an Accountant to join their team based in the Hampshire area. We are seeking a technically proficient and qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with financial reporting experience to join in a team-leading role.
 
Key duties include, but are not limited to:

• Leading and mentoring a team in the area of financial reporting
• Preparing comprehensive financial statements and reports for a range of stakeholders
• Overseeing the month-end process, ensuring all financial information is accurate and complete
• Continuously reviewing and improving financial processes and systems
• Maintaining robust financial controls
• Ensuring full compliance with all accounting and tax statutory requirements
• Participating in various ad-hoc projects and activities as required

The ideal candidate will be:

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
• Possessing solid technical accounting and reporting skills
• Proven in their ability to review and enhance financial processes and systems
• Experienced in liaising with the wider team and a range of stakeholders
• Proficient in team leading and mentoring
• Strong in systems skills and internal controls
