Accounts Payable Assistant - Hybrid

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant?  Have you managed the full cycle accounts payable process including payment runs? Do you have strong communication skills and the ability to tackle difficult queries? If so, I would love to hear from you.  My client is an established business based in Gloucester and is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Assistant.
 
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk will include:

• Processing a high volume of supplier invoices.
• Supplier statement reconciliations.
• Dealing with customer queries.
• Processing the weekly BAC’s payment runs.
• Reconciliation of direct debit and credit card payments.
• Setting up new suppliers.
• Processing staff expenses.
• Month end processing.
• Bank statement reconciliations.
• Assisting with process improvements.

 
Key competencies required of the Accounts Payable Assistant include:

• AAT level 2 or above and/or studying towards AAT qualification.
• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable position.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Excellent customer service skills.
