Accounts Assistant

Sheridan Maine is excited to collaborate exclusively with our client based on the Isle of Wight, in their search for an Accounts Assistant.  This position will be on a temp-perm basis.
 
In this position, you will directly report to the Financial Controller and play a pivotal role in a range of financial activities. 
 
Working closely with the Financial Controller, your key areas of responsibility as the Accounts Assistant will include:

• Monthly accounts preparation.
• Balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Processing of VAT returns.
• Maintaining the Fixed Asset register.
• Processing and reconciliation of Credit Card, and cash expense claims.
• Posting bank payments.
• Supplier statement reconciliations and processing purchase ledger invoices.
• Dealing with suppliers to resolve queries on purchase invoices.

 
To be considered for the role of Accounts Assistant, you should have the following skills and qualifications: 

• Previous experience working in a similar broad accounts role.
• Ideally AAT Level 3 or equivalent.
• Strong IT knowledge and experience including Excel.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
