Job Description
📍 Location: Bedford
🕓 Hours: Monday–Friday, 16:00–21:00
💷 Pay: £12.21 per hour
📅 Contract: Temporary, with permanent vacancies available
About the Role
Join a dedicated team keeping a local medical surgery clean, safe, and welcoming for patients and staff. You’ll be responsible for general and clinical cleaning duties, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Main Duties
- Clean and disinfect clinical and non-clinical areas (e.g., exam rooms, offices, restrooms)
- Vacuum, mop, and sweep floors
- Empty bins and handle waste correctly, including medical waste
- Refill hygiene supplies (soap, paper towels, etc.)
- Clean windows, mirrors, and surfaces
- Report maintenance issues promptly
- Follow infection control and safety standards
What You’ll Need
- Previous cleaning experience (healthcare setting preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
- Attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Evening availability (16:00–21:00) and flexibility for extra shifts
