Job Description
- Shift Pattern: 4 x 10-hour shifts per week
- Pay Rate: £13.16 per hour
- Job Type: Ongoing Work
As a Loading Operative, your role will be to ensure the dispatch area runs smoothly without hiccups.
Your role will include:
- Movement of various items between warehouse and dispatch areas.
- Loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Keeping the working environment clean, organised, and free from obstructions to facilitate smooth work-flow and minimise safety hazards.
- Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks, prioritise workload, and address any concerns or challenges that may arise during daily operations.
- Adhering to all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. This includes proper equipment handling, following designated pathways, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
As a Loading Operative, you play a vital role in ensuring things keep moving, your dedication to safety, accuracy, and teamwork ensures overall success of the department. Ideal candidates will have:
- Physical stamina to handle lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy objects.
- Previous experience in a warehouse loading environment.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting, sorting, and recording.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to show initiative.
