Company Overview: A well-established company specializing in construction materials, they are known for our high standards of customer service and the quality of our products. We’re looking for a dedicated Yard Operative to join our team and help maintain our yard's efficiency and organization.

Job Summary: The Yard Operative will be responsible for organizing, maintaining, and ensuring the cleanliness of our yard, as well as loading, unloading, and managing inventory. This role involves a variety of hands-on tasks and requires someone with good physical stamina, a keen eye for safety, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload goods, equipment, and materials from trucks and other vehicles.
• Organize and store products in the yard, ensuring efficient use of space and easy access.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for quality and accuracy.
• Assist customers or drivers with loading and unloading as required, ensuring excellent service.
• Perform routine yard maintenance to keep the area clean, safe, and organized.
• Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a yard or warehouse role is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy items
• Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Reliable and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
