Location: Plymouth - Permanent Role
Hours: Full time, Day shifts
Salary: £29k +

 
We are currently recruiting a Production Operative to join a busy and well‑established manufacturing/production environment. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who is reliable, detail‑focused, and comfortable working to quality standards and production targets.

 
The Role 
As a Production Operative, you will support day‑to‑day production activities, ensuring products are prepared, processed, and finished to the required standards. You’ll work as part of a team to maintain efficiency, accuracy, and consistency throughout the production process.

 
Key Responsibilities 

• Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently

• Follow job instructions, work orders, and production schedules

• Monitor output to ensure quality standards are met

• Carry out visual checks before, during, and after production

• Identify faults or defects and take appropriate action

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment

• Meet daily production targets and deadlines

• Minimise waste and support continuous improvement

• Carry out basic equipment checks and routine housekeeping tasks 

 
About You 

• Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment is desirable but not essential

• Good attention to detail and a quality‑focused approach

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced setting

• Comfortable following processes and health & safety procedures

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
