With 45 years of business, our client based on the outskirts of Plymouth is a trade-only specialist office technology distributor and they’re a family business who distribute for 40 tech brands – Epson and Phillips to name a few.
They’re seeking an ambitious and driven Sales Executive to drive new business development opportunities as well as develop and support existing customer initiatives to facilitate business growth.
Job details: - £23,000 - £25,000 p/a plus Bonus £5,000 p/a

- 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
- Monday – Friday, full time
As the Sales Executive, you will:- Drive new business development within the Office Products and IT channel
- Develop / support existing customers
- Build and maintain an active managed account base and develop incremental new business accounts
- Understand the features of products in order to deliver a consultative service to customers
- Support the day-to-day inbound customer activity
Core Tasks as the Sales Executive:- Pro-actively seeking new business by researching potential accounts
- Setting goals and develop plans for business and revenue growth
- Researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives
- Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle
- Developing quotes and proposals for prospective clients
- Occasionally attending conferences and industry events where required
- Apply various sales skills to capitalise on commercial opportunities through product knowledge, service and where necessary through negotiation of pricing
- Daily update of Insightly (CRM) with details of all existing account activity and new business prospects
- As and when required, ensure all orders received are entered into the system accurately
Desired Skills and Experience: - Methodical / entrepreneurial / analytical
- Commercial experience in a similar B2B environment

- Excellent telephone manner, communication skills and personality
- Sound knowledge of the practical application of a sales department
- Track record of understanding how to reach and identify prospective
- Able to go the ‘extra mile’ to exceed
- The ability to work well within a team
- Experience of building relationships with customers
- Able to provide evidence of working in a target related
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, v-look up / pivot
- Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal and influencing skills
- Excellent time management and personal organisational skills
