Job Description
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Mechanical CAD Draughtsperson to join a growing manufacturing company based in Alton. The successful candidate will be responsible for remodelling and redrawing existing product range into a new CAD system.
Responsibilities as a CAD Draughtsperson:
- Remodel existing mechanical components in Autodesk Inventor using parametric modelling techniques
- Interpret and convert existing design data from both Solid Works part files or drawings and Legacy paper drawings
- Produce detailed manufacturing drawings in accordance with company standards
- Create accurate sub‑assemblies and top‑level assemblies from remodelled components
- Produce top‑level drawings for customer documentation and workshop use
- Carry out design verification checks to ensure accuracy, fit, and function of modelled components
Requirements:
- Proficient in 3D CAD modelling using Autodesk Inventor
- Proficient in Solid Works
- High level of proficiency in technical drawings
- Solid understanding of mechanical components and assemblies
- Strong attention to detail
The CAD Draughtsperson role:
- 6 - 9 month contract
- Monday – Friday, office based in Alton
- £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
