Buyer
Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join a thriving manufacturing company based in Basingstoke due to business expansion. The successful candidate will be working alongside the Senior Buyer with opportunity to develop within this position.
Responsibilities as a Buyer:
- Responsible for managing critical purchasing activities
- Researching and identifying potential suppliers across relevant categories
- Comparing and evaluating supplier quotation to ensure best value and suitability
- Negotiating commercial terms, pricing and supply agreements
- Tracking purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services
- Prepare cost analysis and procurement reports
- Monitoring stock levels and placing orders based on ERP driven demand
Requirements:
- Proven purchasing experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of sourcing, vendor management and purchase process
- Ability to understand technical drawings
- Experience with ERP/MRP software such as Sage or SAP
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
The Buyer Role:
- Starting salary of £33,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
- Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
- 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
