Job Description
Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to join a manufacturing business based in Basingstoke. Our client is looking for an individual who is responsible for managing end to end operational purchasing activities.
Responsibilities as a Supply Chain Specialist:
- Manage the complete purchasing process, including creating purchase orders, issuing purchase contracts, coordinating logistics and ensuring delivery follow up
- Perform price calculations and manage supplier payment enquiries
- Track all raw material deliveries
- Monitor current raw material stock levels and analyse future demand
- Develop and maintain a detailed cost-tracking spreadsheet for all procurement
- Conduct regular cost analysis of existing inventory to support decision making
- Coordinate with lab teams for quality assessments, testing and approval
- Engage with suppliers to clarify technical specifications
Requirements as a Supply Chain Specialist:
- Bachelor degree in supply chain, business or engineering
- Experience in purchasing, sourcing or supply chains
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Familiarity with logistics process and international trade
- High attention to details and strong organisational skills
The Supply Chain Specialist:
- Fully office based in Basingstoke
- Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5pm and Friday 8.30am – 4pm
- £40,000 - £42,000 depending on experience
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
