Inside Sales Representative
Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Inside Sales Representative to join a chemical business based in Basingstoke. Our client is looking for an individual who can drive revenue growth and manage smaller and undercapitalised accounts.
Responsibilities as an Inside Sales Representative:
- Execute inside sales activities aligned to commercial goals: customer segmentation.
- Prioritisation of inbound vs outbound opportunities
- Growth of existing accounts, cross/upsell, and new customer acquisition via inside channels.
- Manage customer interactions via phone, email, and web.
- Respond to inquiries, sample requests, quotes, and contracts in a timely manner; coordinate with external sales and internal teams.
- Support product launches: communicate value propositions, pricing, and collateral to customers; collaborate with product management and R&D.
- Collaborate with sales, product management, and technical teams
- Share market and customer intelligence, support strategic accounts, and contribute to territory/segment plans.
- Maintain CRM, update pipeline data, ensure accuracy of customer information, and use CRM tools to manage opportunities effectively.
Requirements for this position:
- A minimum of 3 years of inside sales experience
- Experience in a chemical industry
- Degree in Business, Sales, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Ability to apply value selling in specialist context
- ERP experience
The Inside Sales Representative Role:
- Fully office based in Basingstoke
- Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5pm and Friday 8.30am – 4pm
- £37,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
