Mechanical Design Engineer

Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our well established client, who are rapidly expanding, on the Isle of Wight. Out client specialises in manufacturing devices that measure weight and force, which can be used in various industries such as oil and gas, civil engineering, marine, aerospace, and more. This is a full time, permanent position.


Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Duties:
- Lead mechanical engineering activities
- Ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets
- Oversee and direct the engineering team, manage resources and workload
- Monitor and report on team performance against KPIs
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Improve engineering processes and provide technical support
- Foster innovation and continuous improvement


Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering
- Qualified to HNC level or higher in mechanical engineering
- Management Experience
- Ability to manage H&S and quality systems
- Experience with load cell and product design in ATEX/IECEx markets is highly advantageous


Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Package:
- Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
- Early finish on a Friday
- On site, full time in the Isle of Wight
