Location: Burton-on-Trent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 11:00am

Pay rate: £12.21ph
 
About the Business:
Our client is a popular and well-respected local café in Burton-on-Trent, known for its welcoming atmosphere, quality food and drinks, and commitment to excellent customer service. As the business continues to thrive, they are looking for a dedicated Cleaning Operative to help maintain a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment for their customers and staff.
 
About the Role:
This is a full-time position focused on ensuring the café space remains spotless, safe, and ready to welcome guests throughout the day. You'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the café by maintaining high standards of hygiene in both front- and back-of-house areas.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitise dining areas, counters, restrooms, kitchen, and staff spaces
• Wipe down tables, chairs, and food preparation surfaces
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to ensure a clean and hazard-free environment
• Manage waste disposal, recycling, and restocking of consumables
• Support the café team by ensuring cleanliness during busy service times
• Always comply with food hygiene and health & safety standards

 
Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in a similar café, restaurant, or hospitality cleaning role preferred
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
• Able to work independently
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible with duties as needed
• Knowledge of cleaning and hygiene regulations in food environments is an advantage
