Job Title: Accountant

Location: Burton-On-Trent

Hours of work: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

Salary: £37k - £40k (Dependant on experience)

Job Type: Full time, permanent
 
Overview: We’re currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join a successful, independently owned prestige car dealership based in Burton-on-Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-regarded business representing high-end luxury vehicles, offering a secure and long-term position within a reputable and established organisation.


 
Key Responsibilities:
 

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations within the Accounts Department
• Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns
• Processing payroll for all employees
• Accurately manage sales and purchase invoices in a timely manner
• Utilise SAGE accounting software effectively

 
Key Skills:
 

• Demonstrable experience in an automotive accounts role or a similar environment
• Solid understanding of VAT regulations and payroll procedures
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational skills
• Proactive, dependable, and able to work independently
• Confident using IT systems and accounting software, particularly SAGE
