Job Description
Are you ready to drive your career forward? We’re looking for a motivated HGV Class 2 Driver to join a reputable and high-quality manufacturing client based in Newent. With a competitive pay rate of £14.00 per hour, this AD-hoc & Temp to Permanent full-time work available regular Monday to Friday shifts and free onsite parking.
Role Highlights:
- Hourly Rate: £14.00 per hour.
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, starting between 03:30 - 05:00 (Average of 45+ hours/week)
- Temp to Perm: Start as a temp completing ad-hoc shifts and transition to a permanent role for the right candidate.
- Location: Newent, Gloucestershire.
- Overtime: Paid at 1.5x after 40 hours worked per week.
- Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle to deliver goods in and around the local area.
- Handling palletised loads and performing heavy lifting, unloading orders, and securing the load using a tail lift.
- Ensuring all safety procedures are followed, including load strapping and secure transportation.
- Valid UK Class 2 Driving Licence with a Digital Tachograph Card and CPC qualification.
- A positive and professional attitude – someone who takes pride in delivering excellent service.
- A candidate comfortable with heavy handballing and physical work.
- Maximum of 9 points for minor driving endorsements.
- Full company uniform and PPE provided.
- Ongoing regular Monday to Friday work, with no weekend shifts!
- Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per day.
