Job Description
We are recruiting Yard Recycling Picker Operatives for our client based in the Paddock Wood area. This is a temporary to permanent position for suitable candidates.
The Yard Recycling Picker Operatives role involves sorting commercial recycling within a yard environment; therefore, applicants must be comfortable working in a refuse setting and have a flexible approach to work.
Hours: 07:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
Pay: £12.71 per hour PAYE via Pertemps (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
Yard Recycling Picker Operatives – Job Duties:
- Sorting commercial recyclable materials on a picking line and within the yard
- Identifying and separating recyclable items (plastic, cardboard, metal, etc.) from non-recyclable waste
- Ensuring materials are correctly segregated in line with site and environmental standards
- Maintaining a clean and safe working area at all times
- Following all health and safety procedures within a refuse and recycling environment
- Working as part of a team to meet daily targets and operational requirements
- Being flexible to support other yard duties as required
