Job Description
Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Operative
Location: Sidcup
Hours: 10:00–18:30
Contract: Temporary PAYE via Pertemps
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Forklift Operative on a temporary basis to provide essential cover. The successful candidate must be confident operating both Counterbalance and Reach trucks ( in date, external license) and willing to support a variety of warehouse duties — this is not just a forklift role, and hands‑on manual handling will be required.
Key Responsibilities
As our Warehouse Forklift Operative, you will be responsible for:
- Operating Counterbalance and Reach trucks safely.
- Picking pallets, sheets, and cartons, including packing where needed.
- Assisting with unloading vehicles.
- Completing put away of pallets and cases.
- General warehouse duties and manual handling tasks.
- A full driving licence is essential, as the Warehouse Forklift Operative will occasionally be required to bring lorries into the yard in the evening when needed.
- Ability to work independently and within a small team.
- Good attention to detail and safety awareness.
