Salary: £25,585 - £30,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

About the Role
As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will deliver engaging Maths and English lessons from Entry Level to Level 2. You will inspire and support learners from diverse backgrounds, creating a positive and inclusive environment.
You will teach four days per week, with one day dedicated to preparation. Class sizes are small, typically between 8-10 learners, ensuring personalised attention and meaningful progress for each student.

Key Responsibilities of the Functional Skills Tutor:
• Deliver high-quality Functional Skills teaching in Maths and English from Entry Level to Level 2.
• Create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that supports and motivates all learners.
• Build supportive relationships with learners, fostering trust and engagement.
• Plan and deliver lessons that enable learners to achieve their academic and personal goals.
• Communicate effectively with parents to keep them informed of learner progress.
• Promote inclusivity and celebrate diversity within the classroom.
• Ensure learners achieve strong outcomes and are prepared for their next steps.

What We’re Looking For in the Functional Skills Tutor:
• Ideally, QTLS status or a Level 3 teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards this. The company funds all CPD qualifications
• Proven experience in teaching and lesson planning.
• Experience working with young people, including those with complex behaviours or additional learning needs.
• Experience in delivering Maths and English Subjects
