Location: Halesowen (Hybrid – 3 Days On-Site Weekly)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
A well‑established UK distribution business is seeking a technically strong and hands‑on IT Manager to oversee its technology environment across two West Midlands sites. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a practical, operational IT position with a heavy emphasis on E‑Commerce platforms and business‑critical applications.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining stable systems, improving application performance, and ensuring that both ERP and E‑Commerce platforms continue to support daily operations effectively. The organisation values individuals who are honest, forthright, and capable of coordinating others without being heavy‑handed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day IT operations across two sites and their remote sales operations.
- Oversee support and enhancement of ERP and E‑Commerce applications.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system and application issues.
- Manage user administration, access control, and application configuration.
- Coordinate upgrades, integrations, and system improvement initiatives.
- Work with external partners, suppliers, and vendors on fixes and enhancements.
- Support reporting, dashboards, and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Streamline processes and contribute to continuous improvement across IT systems.
- Strong background in system/application support, ideally across ERP and E‑Commerce.
- Technical understanding of integrations, data flows, and platform configuration.
- Experience coordinating IT activity across multiple stakeholders or sites.
- Straightforward communication style with an honest, pragmatic approach.
- Experience supporting technology within distribution, retail, or operational environments.
- Knowledge of APIs, web technologies, or system integrations.
- Experience with automation, reporting tools, or workflow improvements.
- Familiarity with fast‑paced commercial or product‑led environments.
