We are currently recruiting for a client who are a global leader in the design, manufacture, and installation of machinery in the FMCG industry. They are looking to bring in a talented Field Service Engineer to their team, offering a competitive salary and great benefits
Role: Field Service Engineer
Location: Nationwide (primarily between Birmingham & Scunthorpe)
Salary: Up to £45,000 basic (Up to £70,000 OTE)
Benefits: Company car, great OTE opportunity, all necessary expenses paid, paid door-to-door
Role Purpose To deliver high-quality service support, including installation, commissioning, and pre-delivery inspections, for bespoke machinery and selected third-party equipment, supporting both external customers and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities- Install and commission all product lines.
- Diagnose and repair bespoke and OEM equipment.
- Provide technical training to customers and company personnel when required.
- Work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with customers and all internal departments.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Complete service reports accurately and in a timely manner, following up where necessary.
- Work flexible hours, including reasonable overtime and weekends, to meet business needs.
- Support the department in achieving its financial and performance targets.
- Comply with current UK Service Policies.
- Provide out-of-hours technical support by telephone as agreed.
- Adhere to customer site rules and standards at all times.
- Maintain safe working practices, comply with Health & Safety legislation, and report any breaches.
- Undertake all duties appropriate to the role, within your skills and experience.
Skills and Experience Required- Strong electro-mechanical fault-finding ability.
- IT literate with excellent administrative, organisational, and planning skills.
- Analytical and critical-thinking capabilities.
- A consistent ability to deliver high-quality work and outstanding customer service.
- A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel extensively and drive long distances.
