A leading packaging manufacturer in the Scunthorpe area are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team on a Panama shift pattern
The ideal candidate will be a hard-working and adaptable Electrical Technician with a technical background within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and provide planned, preventative maintenance expertise along with responses to reactive breakdowns

Role: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £22.50 per hour
Shift: Panama (Days & Nights) (20:00 – 08:00)
The key responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Technician role will be:- Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of Electrical systems, assemblies, and components.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on equipment, including basic hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct basic fault analysis and identify early signs of electrical failure.
- PLC fault finding (input/output)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings & schematics, technical documentation, and industry standards.
- Participate in scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Support the implementation of WCM (World Class Manufacturing) practices and other operational systems.
- Collaborate with other departments and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist operators in routine machinery upkeep and minor maintenance tasks.
- Support training efforts and cooperate with external personnel such as agency workers and contractors.
- Consistently wear and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Adhere strictly to all Health & Safety procedures, regulations, and policies.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, BRC, and other relevant standards adopted by the company.
- Appropriately dress in accordance with all applicable Health & Safety requirements.
- Perform additional tasks of a similar nature, as reasonably assigned and in line with the role
The key requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Technician will be:- Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within fast paced manufacturing environments such as Automotive, Food, FMCG and more
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems such as Motors, VFD’s, Sensors etc.
- Basic PLC fault finding
- Ability to read schematic drawings
- Willingness to work Panama shifts
- NVQ Level 3 qualification or time-served apprenticeship
