Job Description
Location: Edinburgh East
Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 06.00-17.02 with 45min break
Rate of Pay: £12.81 rising to £14.35
Temporary ongoing work
Working with an established cleansing team to carry out duties right across the city to a high standard.
Duties to Include:
- Driving the relevant vehicles
- Working as part of a team
- Heavy lifting - moving and loading wheelie bins, assisting with special uplifts
- Undertaking the appropriate vehicle checks and paperwork
- General street cleaning duties (sweeping, litter picking, weeding, removing leaves)
- Carrying out instructions given out by supervisors
Essential requirements:
- Valid Driving Licence
- Maximum of 6 points on your licence
- Ability to work weekends on a shift pattern basis
Successful candidates will:
- Be flexible
- Be reliable
- Have excellent knowledge on driving around Edinburgh
- Be health and safety conscious
- Have good customer service skills
- Have previous driving experience
- Work outdoors in all weather
