Job Description
Pertemps are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our client’s busy Warrington depot. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing, regular work with competitive PAYE rates and a respected logistics partner.
What you’ll be doing as a HGV Class 1 Driver:
- Safely loading and unloading cages of letters and parcels
- Working with both single and double-deck trailers, with some pushing and pulling involved
- Completing night trunking runs as part of a professional logistics operation
What we’re looking for in a HGV Class 1 Driver:
- Minimum 1 years’ HGV Class 1 driving experience, with recent Class 1 work within the last 6 months
- A valid C+E licence, CPC card, and digital tachograph card
- A maximum of 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
The details of the HGV Class 1 Driver role:
- Shifts: Monday to Sunday (weekend availability needed)
- Start times: Various
- Shift length: Typically 10–12 hours
- Pay rates: From £19.98 to £22.89 per hour (PAYE)
- Contract type: Regular, ongoing work with consistent start times
