Your Responsibilities as a Sales Engineer:- Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email, and online channels.
- Provide technical support and product recommendations across our pump, valve, and control system ranges.
- Prepare quotations and project documentation tailored to client requirements.
- Liaise with engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility and timely delivery of solutions.
- Maintain and build strong client relationships with excellent communication and follow-up.
- Support the external sales team with technical knowledge and coordination as needed.
- Use CRM systems and internal databases to manage sales activities and project pipelines.
Skills & Requirements for this Sales Engineer role:- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical aptitude, ideally with an engineering qualification (NVQ, HNC, BTEC, etc.).
- Computer literate – confident in using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- High attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings/specifications.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and undertake additional product training.
- Must have own transport due to rural location (no public transport access).
Details of this Sales Engineer role:- Salary: £23,350 – £25,793 depending on experience.
- Flexibility to work contracted hours over 4 days (subject to workload).
- 30 days holiday (including statutory), rising to 33 after one year’s service.
- Annual business performance-related bonus (non-contractual).
- Auto-enrolment pension (5% employee contribution); employer pays full contribution after 3 years.
