Job Description

The company are a manufacturer of special purpose machinery and due to continued success, require a Mechanical Fitter to join their team in the Alcester area.Role Purpose: Assemble and test bespoke machinery from design drawings to meet client specifications
Key Responsibilities
  • Build machine structures, sub-assemblies, and final products using hand and power tools, ensuring precise fits for bearings, gears, and shafts.
  • Install hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, valves, and actuators according to schematics.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults during assembly and testing, collaborating with design engineers to implement solutions.
  • Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, verniers) to ensure accuracy.
  • Adhere strictly to Health & Safety and quality standards (ISO).

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong experience of mechanical fitting / machine building.
  • Strong experience in special purpose machinery and automation.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and layouts.
  • Proficiency in fitting and using workshop equipment.
Key Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or within a team. 

The role is Days - Monday to Friday within an early finish on Friday.
