The Opportunity
Pertemps is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller to join a well-known and growing organisation based in Ayrshire. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to take the next step in their career within a dynamic environment.
This role offers the chance to provide financial leadership across several business units, working closely with Sales, Operations, and specialist teams to drive performance and support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance team, reporting into the Head of Finance
• Take ownership of monthly management accounts, financial reporting, and cashflow forecasting
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
• Manage balance sheet controls and oversee statutory reporting requirements
• Provide commercial finance support, including insurance and capital investment appraisal
• Drive improvements in finance processes, systems, and internal controls
• Support the executive management team with insightful financial analysis
• Build and scale the finance function in line with business growth

About You

• Fully qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience
• Currently operating as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller, seeking progression
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence at all levels
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience working within an ERP environment is advantageous
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
• Commercially aware with sound business acumen
• A collaborative team player with the ability to build effective working relationships
