Job Description

SEND Teaching Assistant – North Tyneside 

We are seeking a SEND TA to join a great secondary school in North Tyneside. The role is to begin September 2025 and is on a full-time ongoing basis.

About the Role 
  • Supporting students with SEN needs, helping them to engage with lessons and develop positive coping strategies. 
  • Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams to create a structured and supportive environment. 
  • Using de-escalation techniques and a positive approach to behaviour management. 
  • Building strong relationships with students to help them achieve their potential. 

Requirements: 
  • Experience working with children and young people.
  • A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach. 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills. 
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people. 
  • The ideal candidate will have a TA qualification but we are open to those with strong experience.
