Contract Duration: 6 Months
Hours of Work: Saturday and Sunday | 11am – 4pm
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: £14.74 - £18.43 per hour
Weekend Working Testing for Routine Analysis (Endotoxins, Bioburdens, Total Viable Count, Environmental Monitoring)
As a Microbiologist, you will be responsible for:
- Perform a range of basic routine analysis using (list techniques) under supervision of a senior member of staff
- Operate basic lab equipment
- Be competent in the use of generic and specific software packages required for the role: Laboratory’s LIMS system, Q-Pulse, etc
- Perform Lab admin and housekeeping duties
- Provide high quality customer service at all times by ensuring effective organisation of assigned workload, integrity of analytical data generated and timely/accurate provision of results
- Microbiological Background/Degree preferred
- Scientific understanding of basic lab equipment
- English fluency (written and spoken)
- Meticulous attention to detail and an ability to follow written instructions
- Accountable, honest, hardworking and able to work efficiently in a team
