Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE
Location: OX5

Didcot Pertemps are currently hiring a Controls & Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering team. In this role, you’ll use AutoCAD Electrical to design panels and schematics for projects ranging from small retrofit camera systems to large industrial automation machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

Full lifecycle PLC & controls programming using Allen Bradley and/or Siemens.
Design and specify control systems, safety and electrical components.
Produce schematics, layout diagrams, and wiring plans to EU standards.
Support system integration and commissioning in the UK and overseas.
Assist with panel wiring, testing, and ongoing system maintenance.

Requirements:

Degree-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
3+ years’ experience in PLC/HMI programming and AutoCAD Electrical.
Strong knowledge of industrial automation, control gear, and communication protocols.
Experience with robotics and machine vision systems.
Machinery safety knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
