Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Solihull

Salary: £12.25 – £13.50 per hour (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Production Operative to join a thriving manufacturing team in Solihull. This role requires strong sewing skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Start Date: Likely to be early January 2026, however interviews will be arranged ASAP for suitable candidates.

Hours of Work

07:00 – 03:00

Includes a 30-minute unpaid break and a 15-minute paid tea break

Key Responsibilities

Operate industrial sewing machinery to produce high-quality stitched components

Work with a range of production equipment, including flatbeds, ASP, CCP, BCP, and PPS

Accurately cut fabric in line with measurements, templates, and production specifications

Follow detailed patterns, instructions, and quality standards

Complete basic numerical tasks such as measuring, counting, and calculating allowances

Conduct quality checks on finished products

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment

Contribute effectively to team targets and production deadlines

Requirements

Experience using sewing machinery is essential

Soft furnishing sewing experience is advantageous

Pattern matching experience is a bonus

Good numerical skills

Strong team player with good communication skills

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of work
