A well established and highly regarded law firm in Devon is seeking a motivated and client focused Private Client Solicitor to join its respected and friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of a varied caseload while playing a key role in the continued growth of a busy and well supported department.

The Role
You will handle a broad range of private client work, including drafting wills, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney, managing estate and trust administration, and advising clients on inheritance tax planning. Building trusted, long term client relationships will be central to the role, alongside working closely with referrers and colleagues to deliver a consistently high standard of service.

You’ll be responsible for managing files efficiently from instruction to completion, ensuring compliance with SRA requirements, and contributing to business development and departmental growth as appropriate.

About You
• Ideally 3–5 years’ PQE within Private Client (strong candidates outside this range will be considered)
• Confident managing your own caseload independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working collaboratively within a team
• Experience with case management systems beneficial
• STEP or SFE accreditation advantageous, but not essential
