A respected and long established law firm in Somerset is looking to grow its Private Client team with the addition of an experienced Probate Solicitor. The Opportunity
You will manage a varied probate and estate administration caseload from instruction through to completion, advising clients at key stages with clarity, empathy, and precision. The role offers exposure to a broad range of private client matters, including wills, trusts, inheritance tax, and estate planning, with the chance to build long term client relationships and work closely with colleagues across the department.

Key Responsibilities
• Running probate and estate administration matters end to end
• Advising on wills, trusts, LPAs, intestacy, and inheritance tax planning
• Drafting and reviewing wills, trust deeds, and associated documentation
• Preparing applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration
• Liaising with executors, beneficiaries, HMRC, and third parties
• Ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice
• Delivering consistently high standards of client care
• Supporting business development activities where appropriate

About You
• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (ideally 3+ PQE, though strong NQs will be considered)
• Experience handling probate and estate administration matters
• Excellent communication and client facing skills
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Confident managing matters independently and meeting deadlines
• Comfortable using case management systems and Microsoft Office
• STEP qualification (or working towards) desirable but not essential
