LITIGATION SOLICITOR, 5+ YEARS PQE, CO. DURHAM, TO C£70,000 + BENEFITS AND HYBRID WORKING – Successful, Legal 500 firm offering great opportunity for an experienced Litigation Solicitor to take on a key role in the team. JOB REF:3214

An established regional law firm with a strong presence across the North East is looking to appoint an experienced Litigation Solicitor. This is a key hire into a busy and growing litigation team and offers a genuine opportunity to take ownership, influence team direction, and contribute to wider firm strategy.

What you’ll be doing
This is a broad litigation role with plenty of variety including property and land-related disputes, landlord & tenant matters, contentious probate and general commercial disputes
Beyond your own caseload, you’ll also:
• Support colleagues across other departments on contentious issues
• Supervise and develop junior team members
• Play a visible role in maintaining and strengthening client relationships
• Get involved in shaping and delivering business development initiatives

What we’re looking for
This role will suit a confident litigator who enjoys both the technical and commercial sides of practice.
• Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE in civil and commercial litigation
• A strong grounding across a range of dispute resolution matters
• Experience acting for both individuals and business clients
• The ability to run files independently and efficiently
• Previous exposure to supervising or mentoring others
• A proactive, commercially aware mindset
Equally important are your interpersonal skills — someone who can build trust with clients, collaborate internally, and contribute positively to team culture.
