JOB TITLE: Corporate Commercial Solicitor

SALARY: £45,000 - £55,000 (DOE)

THE ROLE:
An opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Commercial Solicitor to join a highly regarded company commercial team in East Sussex. This role will suit a newly qualified Solicitor or someone with up to two years’ post-qualification experience looking to develop their career within a structured and forward-thinking department. You will manage your own caseload while working closely with the Head of Department and senior colleagues on a wide range of corporate transactions. The work will include drafting and negotiating documentation for mergers and acquisitions, including share and asset purchase agreements, supporting clients in preparing businesses for sale, conducting legal due diligence, advising on corporate structuring matters such as shareholders’ agreements and articles of association, and assisting with joint venture arrangements. You will also be involved in preparing transactional reports and ancillary documentation, as well as supporting the co-ordination and smooth progression of transactions.

THE CANDIDATE:
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with between NQ and two years’ experience in corporate legal services. Exposure to employment or wider commercial matters would be advantageous. You will demonstrate strong drafting skills, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to communicate effectively with clients. A proactive and positive approach, combined with the ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team, will be essential. This role offers an excellent platform to develop your technical and transactional expertise alongside experienced specialists.
