Job Title: HR Manager
Salary: £44,003 - £51,291 
Working Hours: 35 hours per week – happy to discuss part-time and flexible working.
Contract: Permanent
Location: Balloch (hybrid working – attendance at the office required 1 day per week)

The Role

Our client is looking for a passionate, inspiring, and forward-thinking HR Manager to lead and develop there HR team.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the full range of HR services including payroll, case management, organisational change, and health and safety, ensuring the function operates efficiently and effectively.

As an experienced HR professional, you will bring expertise in employee relations, strategy development, and delivering impactful HR initiatives that drive organisational performance while supporting a positive and engaging workplace culture.

Working closely with the senior leadership team and operational managers, you will shape HR strategies that align with organisational goals, enhance employee satisfaction, and promote continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support organisational change, enhance culture, and drive engagement throughout the employee life cycle.
  • Oversee complex HR casework, including grievances, disciplinary and performance management, ensuring efficient and fair resolution.
  • Build and maintain positive employee and union relations to support effective consultation and negotiation.
  • Lead and guide organisational change initiatives, providing strategic input on workforce planning and structure.
  • Implement HR systems and digital tools to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
  • Manage payroll, employment law compliance, and health & safety protocols, ensuring accurate reporting and risk management.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support strategic objectives.
  • Carry out any additional duties appropriate to the role.

About You

You will bring:
  • Proven experience in leading and managing an HR team, with strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Experience developing HR policies, managing budgets, and delivering HR projects that drive organisational change.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and best practice.
  • Ability to foster constructive industrial relations with external partners.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic and creative thinking, with the ability to introduce fresh approaches to HR.
  • CIPD Chartered Membership (or equivalent level experience).
