Overview

On behalf of Warwickshire County Council, Pertemps Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join the Engineering Maintenance team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, maintenance, and improvement of electrical building services across various properties.

About the Role

• As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will
• Design electrical installations for buildings in compliance with professional and technical standards.
• Prepare feasibility studies, specifications, drawings, and contract documentation.
• Supervise site meetings, oversee projects, and manage contractors.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Lead on electrical sustainability and energy conservation initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with architects, maintenance officers, and consultants.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A relevant HNC/equivalent qualification and professional membership (IET/CIBSE).
• Experience in electrical building services design.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• A working knowledge of AutoCAD, Hevacomp, Fire Alarm Systems (BS 5839), and IEE Regulations.
• A full, clean driving license and willingness to conduct site visits.
