Hours: Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Wed 5pm till midnight Saturday & Sunday 8am till 5 pm , Week 2 - Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun 5pm till midnight & Week 3 - off.
Location: Nuneaton/Hybrid
Start Date: ASAP

What does the job entail?

On behalf of Warwickshire County Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Call Handler to join their Emergency Duty team. This is a high-profile post and would be an ideal opportunity for someone who has worked as a Call Handler, that is looking to further develop their experience within Local Authority.

You will achieve this by:

• Being the first point of call for members of the public and professionals of Warwickshire for both Adult and Child related concerns
• Taking information from the caller and finding out whether a referral needs to be taken and passed to the Duty Social Worker for further investigation or whether signposting can be managed
• Dealing with all sorts of calls, this could be a child or adult death, suicide calls, mental health, parents, anon referrals, police calls

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

• Someone that is prepared to deal with sensitive information
• Experience of working in a telephonic role with a positive telephone manner
• A good level of written English
• A high level of professionalism
• Be willing to learn and ask questions
