Events Administrator Location: York
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £25,590 – £27,793 per annum (hourly equivalent: £14.60 – £15.27)
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days remote

Are you a highly organised and proactive administrator with a passion for events? We are looking for an
Events Administrator to join a reputable and well-respected national professional membership body, supporting the Events Managers and Deputy Head of International, and Divisions.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the smooth delivery of a diverse range of events across the UK and internationally. From behind-the-scenes planning to on-the-day coordination, you will provide essential support to ensure every event runs seamlessly — whether online or in person.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to the Events Managers across all aspects of event coordination
- Act as the first point of contact for event-related enquiries, delivering helpful and timely responses
- Manage event communications, including speaker invitations, confirmations, and reminders
- Monitor shared inboxes, respond to queries, and ensure records are accurately maintained
- Process delegate and speaker registrations, payments, and refunds using the organisation’s database
- Design and distribute marketing communications and promotional emails
- Promote events via the organisation’s social media platforms
- Prepare event materials such as delegate packs, name badges, printed documents, and attendance lists
- Attend and support live events, offering on-site assistance to delegates, speakers, organisers, and committee members
- Compile and present post-event reports using data collected from the organisation’s systems
- Assist committees and clinical organisers with event-related administration
- Create and maintain event webpages, ensuring content is clear, current, and engaging
- Support the delivery of online events by managing technical production, including camera and microphone control
- Conduct pre-event technical checks with speakers to ensure a smooth event experience
- Provide technical support to online attendees to help them access and participate in events
- Be willing and able to travel across England and stay overnight when required
About You:You’ll be confident in managing competing priorities, with a professional and composed approach. Your communication skills will allow you to interact effectively with a variety of stakeholders, and your strong attention to detail will ensure accuracy across all aspects of your work. You’ll have:
- Experience in an administrative or events-based role
- Strong IT skills, including confidence using databases, email marketing tools, and social media
- A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented mindset
- Familiarity with virtual event platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams (desirable)
