About the Role
We’re working with a national charity to recruit a dedicated Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to support and strengthen their core IT systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a purpose-led organisation where your work will directly support impactful services delivered across the UK.
You’ll play a key role in the IT team, maintaining infrastructure and cloud systems, providing expert support to staff, and contributing to future-focused improvements. As well as leading on technical issues, you’ll support the development of junior colleagues and help shape a secure, efficient, and modern IT environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including cloud-based platforms
  • Provide expert support for Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), and Windows 11
  • Administer Active Directory and virtual environments such as Hyper-V
  • Oversee day-to-day IT support queries and escalations
  • Maintain secure and stable network infrastructure (TCP/IP)
  • Supervise and guide the IT Engineer
  • Keep accurate technical documentation and user guides
  • Support the use of tools such as SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Contribute to IT project work and wider digital strategy

About You
We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive, team-focused attitude. You’ll be confident managing systems independently and enjoy supporting colleagues at all levels of the organisation.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience in IT support or infrastructure roles
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, and Hyper-V
  • Understanding of network configuration and workstation support
  • Ability to explain technical issues clearly and provide guidance to non-technical users
  • Experience supporting and managing hardware, software, and user accounts
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • IT-related qualifications or certifications
  • Experience working in the charity or not-for-profit sector (desired)
  • Knowledge of SharePoint administration and endpoint security
