Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Cook to join our client’s team in the Stoke-on-Trent area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about preparing healthy, nutritious meals and working in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities of this Cook role:
- Plan, prepare, and cook healthy, balanced, and nutritious meals
- Create varied menus that meet dietary requirements and budget guidelines
- Manage food preparation and kitchen duties independently or as part of a team
- Ensure high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Maintain awareness of allergens and ensure safe food handling practices
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering within budget
- Follow all food safety regulations and procedures
Skills & Experience Required for this Cook role:
- Previous experience in catering or a kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food hygiene and food safety standards (Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred)
- Understanding of dietary requirements and allergen awareness
- Experience in menu planning and budgeting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Full, valid UK driving licence
Details for this Cook role:
- Hourly rate: £12.20, increasing to £13.12 in April
- Monday to Friday 9am-1pm
- Supportive working environment
- Permanent position for the right candidate
- Location: Stoke-on-Trent
