Job Description
Main responsibilities of the Transport Controller role:
- Review and amend daily transport plans
- Management of short term driver absence and relocation of work
- Accident and breakdown management
- Be the point of contact for drivers
- Manage driver performance to identify any major discrepancies
- Ensure all enquiries from drivers are followed up/resolved
- Other duties as required
Skills required for this Transport Controller role:
- Transport office experienced would be advantageous
- Able to work well under pressure
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Awareness of transport legal compliance would be an advantage
Details of this Transport Controller role:
- Monday to Friday rotational shifts 5:00 - 14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00
- Location: Stoke-on-Trent
- Hourly rate: £13.44ph - £14.28PH
- This is a temporary ongoing position
