Part-Time Bookkeeper Pertemps Stoke are currently seeking a Bookkeeper to support our client in managing their accounts on a day-to-day basis while also taking on various administrative and customer service tasks. Main duties of this Bookkeeper role:- Manage accounts daily, following a monthly schedule and the financial year.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Maintain purchase and sales ledgers.
- Oversee credit control tasks.
- Record and reconcile bank account transactions.
- Enter journals for re-coding purposes.
- Generate and issue sales invoices through third-party systems.
- Produce financial reports using Sage Accounts.
- Process supplier payments at month-end.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of VAT codes.
- Have a strong grasp of the nominal structure and coding system.
- Maintain and reconcile petty cash, recording transactions in accounting software and spreadsheets.
Skills required for this Bookkeeper role:- 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience (essential).
- A bookkeeping qualification (ICB Certification or AAT) is preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience using Sage Line 50 (essential).
- Bring enthusiasm and energy to the role.
- Confident and assertive in communication.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Dedicated to providing same-day responses to client inquiries.
Details of this Bookkeeper role:- Hours: 24 per week (Monday to Thursday, 9am to 3pm)

- Pay: £12.50 per hour
